Celebrity Sedu Hair Styles

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

By Juan Richardson Hair is indeed a beautiful adornment. We cannot help but admire the thick bluish-black hair of the Indians in the Americas and India. Hair is truly a technical miracle, growing at a rate of a quarter of a millimeter to a half of a millimeter each day. But how can we beautify our hair? The rage among some celebrities is the Sedu hair styles. Sedu is a play on the words seduce or seductive. The Sedu hair styles is achieved by the use of a Sedu flat iron. This is actually a heating rod made from the precious Tourmaline, used to straighten curly hair. Did you know that hair mirrors not only what goes on in our minds but also the condition of our body physically. Individuals who live closer to nature have thicker hair. Our hair becomes finer as we live a life style of refined food away from nature. The best care we can give our hair is a natural way of life with plenty of exercise in the open air and a natural diet. This, along with the Sedu hair styles will produce beautiful hair. Also, natural foods high in iron, silica, manganese, copper and sulphur are good for the hair, as hair contains these minerals. For hair that may be balding, the use of lanolin, which contains vitamin F can be beneficial. Lanolin is obtained from sheep wool and can help with scalp problems. Also the use of juice of a freshly cut onion being rubbed into the scalp prior to showering can also encourage re-growth. This is due to the onions high sulphur content. This along with the celebrity sedu hair styles, for those who have hair, will help your hair considerably. Another good hair tonic is an infusion of nettle roots. The nettles help with hair re-growth. The above are a few examples of celebrity sedu hair styles and hair care. Silicone Breast Implants Revived by FDA

Monday, July 30th, 2007

By Frank Vanderlugt On July 28 2005, the FDA issued a letter of approval to Mentor Corp ending the the thirteen year old ban on silicone-gel breast implants. This move came about as Mentor Corp. persuaded the FDA that its newer silicone implants are less dangerous and more durable than older versions. The company will employ these implants only under the following strict safety conditions approved by the FDA. - Prospective patients must sign a consent form acknowledging that they realise the risks of a silicone breast implant including the fact that they could break and need replacement or removal. - Mentor is only allowed to sell silicone breast implants to board-certified plastic surgeons who complete a successful practical training program to learn how to insert these implants in a way that minimizes the odds of breakage. - Mentor must produce and maintain a registry to track the implant patients long term results. - Patients must be educated about the fact that if an implant breaks, the effect of the breakage typically doesn’t cause immediate symptoms. Further it is advised to have an MRI after 5 years and 2 years thereafter to check for breakage. - Mentor must conduct a ten year study to determine the percentage of breast implants that will break in that time. - The study must be reviewed by an independent committee. - The results of Mentor’s breast implant program will be reviewed by the FDA in 5 years to verify that the implants are performing as expected. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 334,052 breast augmentations were performed in the United States in 2004 - the vast majority employing salt water filled implants that are sold without restriction. Consumer surveys predict that if the silicone breast implants return to the market, 200,000 women will have them installed in the 1st year. Silicone-gel breast implants began selling in 1962 and were banned in 1992 amid health fears. Research since then has shown no statistical correlation between silicone breast implants and cancer or auto-immune disease such as lupus. Some women will swear that their health deteriorated from the moment they had their implants placed, but this is anecdotal evidence. When researchers compare a large group of women with implants to an equally large group without them, no difference between the two groups is found in the number of women with cancer or autoimmune disease. Formation of excess scar tissue due to a foreign-body reaction is common. If it is localized, it can cause traction and rippling effects in the appearance of the implant. If the scar tissue completely encircles the implant the condition is called capsular contraction. These scars can bind the implant into an unnatural round shape, so that it appears the woman has a baseball stuck under the skin on her chest. This condition is more common with smooth-walled silicone implants, though it occurs to a lesser extent with saline implants as well. Implants placed behind the chest muscle have a much lower incidence of this problem.Surgeons can sometimes break the scar tissue manually (which is not recommeded, as it can break the implant and void the manufacturer’s warranty) , but often follow-up surgery is needed. The asthma drug Accolate has been used with some success to prevent and even reverse capsular contraction, though months of treatment may be required. Other possible complications include seroma (a collection of serous fluid), hematoma (blood), synmastia (breasts that appear to be fused in the center), bottoming out (implant slides too far down the chest), double-fold ( the implant’s outline does not corresspond to the natural breast crease), deflation (the implant breaks), tissue necrosis (localized death of tissue) and infection. What Is A Pen Pal?

Monday, July 30th, 2007

By Eric Morris A pen pal is a person with whom one becomes familiar through an amiable, regular correspondence. Pen pals are also known as pen friends. Pen pal relationships are often used to practice reading and writing, probably even in a foreign language. These relationships may also increase the literacy of people regarding different nationalities and lifestyles. People generally communicate through post mail. Pen pals could also have a short-term relationship. The decision of remaining pen pals for life may vary according to the relationships. Some people become pen pals to get rid of loneliness and improve long-distance relationships. At times, pen pals may also exchange gifts along with the letters. These gifts could be souvenirs or something that the pen pal may cherish. Pen pals could be of any race, nationality, age, or sex. These people may have varied cultures and different religions. Some pen pals may also arrange to meet in “real-life.” Pen pals generally have a network. This network may help people to gain a valuable understanding of the world. This network helps people to appreciate and realize the different existing cultures and lifestyles. To avoid hassles, pen pals tend to communicate in a common language. Pen pals are not just restricted to writing letters on paper and posting them trough mail. At present, there are people communicating through e-mail. This is known as online pen pals. This method helps people to save money. However, there is a disadvantage as the communication is very ephemeral and short-lived. People prefer to receive paper letters as it gives them satisfaction of seeing their name imprinted on a letter in the mailbox. Pen pals may also trade post cards, stamps and anything else that is flat enough to fit in an envelope. Pen pals are found even in today’s high-tech world. Pen pal clubs are also found on the Internet, in newspapers and magazines. Pen Pals provides detailed information on Pen Pals, International Pen Pals, Prison Pen Pals, Military Pen Pals and more. Pen Pals is affiliated with Friends Reunited. Putting Flower Essences on the Map

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

By Robina Hearle In this world of greater understanding that all things are connected, the idea of sending healing, love and blessings is not so impossible. We have science backing up metaphysics, such as String Theory. Mathematics has always known that many energies exist and Professor Stephen Hawkins has proven interdimensionality. My idea and ongoing project is to get as many people as possible putting bottles of flower essences on a map. [Flower essences are a form of vibrational healing in liquid form, can be taken for emotional and mental problems.]In this way we can send healing vibrations to earthquakes, war zones, civil unrest, famines and disasters. This will facilitate healing of the planet and its peoples, flora and fauna. I have in my spare room three maps. The first map has bottles of Harmony for Nature [to bring balance and harmony after trauma] on the North and South Poles and the seas. The second map has bottles of Harmony for Nature, Angel of Peace [to bring Peace after turmoil] and Water of Enlightenment [for Courage at times of great distress] on the disaster areas and earthquakes. I have e-mail notification of all the big earthquakes from the Unite States Geological Survey site. The third map is for the thirteen ongoing wars and conflicts that are happening round the globe. I have Calming of the Waters [it does what it says!] and Truth on Iraq at the moment. Many people may have a bottle of Bachs Rescue Remedy in their first aid or medicine chest, and an old school atlas. I would encourage you to search them out. Make the intention to send the healing vibrations from the bottle to your chosen location on a map. If you have access to many different bottles than you can play more! A friend of mine when I told her about this project said that as soon as the London Bombings had occurred, she had got out a map of the underground and placed her essences upon it. Hopefully there are many who are doing the same. Similarly you can send healing in this way to friends and family. Place the bottle of essence on a photograph or the persons name written on a piece of paper. Here is another thought you can send love and blessings and well intentioned thoughts to anywhere and anyone. Love and Blessings could be sent to all those people in need and the intention that aide, help, provisions will get to everyone that needs it. This could be done on a daily basis. On our own sending positive thoughts is powerful. Collectively sending positive thoughts is hugely powerful. If many people put bottles of Flower essences on maps where there are disasters, wars and unrest we can effect great change and bring about healing. It maybe that like me you have sent some financial contribution, but this is what you can do to help where you do not have a bottomless pit of money! This is also a project that can be ongoing.. People by their thoughts and actions can change the world. We have the power to do great good, bring positive change, heal ourselves, the planet and its flora and fauna. We just have to want to do it, care enough. By Robina Hearle.c www.rosecottagefloweressences.co.uk About The Author Robina Hearle is a flower essence therapist and Reiki Master. What’s Involved in Marriage Counseling

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

By Sue Taylor So you have come to the decision that in order to save your marriage or at the very least improve it, you need to get some professional help in the form of counseling. This is obviously not a step to be taken lightly and in many cases one partner desires the counseling more than the other. It is important that the partner who is least keen on undertaking a marriage counseling program is at least prepared to be open to attending the sessions, listening and ultimately to open up and share. Counseling of any description can be a confronting, uncomfortable and in some cases a hurtful experience. The counselor will often touch on or bring up things that in many ways you would rather stayed buried. It is important that the marriage counseling that you receive is from someone you feel comfortable with and trust. As far as you are able, check the credentials of the person who will be counseling you. It is also important to be clear in your mind as to what you wish to achieve out of the counseling. Ask yourself, why do I want counseling? What do I hope to achieve? What am I willing to put into the sessions? Some people who undergo marriage counseling, even some of those who instigate the counseling are not actually willing to change themselves. They are in blame mode, they want their partner or environment or circumstances to change and cannot see that in order for the relationship to work, they need to change also. Change can create anxiety as it will often involve moving outside one’s comfort zone. A good counselor will recognize this type of person and guide them through the process of making the necessary changes. We live in a world where many of us demand instant gratification. Many people are unwilling to go through a process which will take time and need to be persuaded that the time and money expended and in some cases the pain experienced will be worth it in the long run. It important to realize that your problems probably didn’t happen all at once and as such it is going to take time and commitment to resolve them. The final factor to successful marriage counseling is having the faith that whatever issues you are experiencing can be overcome if you truly want them to be. What is the point of exposing yourself if you do not believe that things can improve? This is not to say that counseling will necessarily keep the marriage together. In some cases marriage counseling can be a useful tool in helping a couple to see that there is little point in staying together. Perhaps there is just too much baggage or perhaps the realization comes that you are completely incompatible. Whatever the situation, it is important to be involved in the counseling process, show commitment and willingness to make changes that may be necessary to an ongoing and fulfilling relationship, be patient and have faith in yourself. Grapefruit Diet

Monday, July 16th, 2007

By Eddie Tobey The grapefruit diet is a fad diet, the likes of which seem to come from nowhere every now and then. A grapefruit diet involves consuming large amounts of grapefruit, it is that simple. The theory behind the grapefruit diet is simple enough. The fruit, it is claimed, contains an enzyme that actually helps you burn fat. One thing though with grapefruit diet as with other kinds of fad diets is the lack of substantial proof behind the theory. Grapefruit diet could be said to be one of the offshoots of the modern generations’ obsession with losing weight and appearing attractive. Grapefruit as such is a healthy fruit. The fruit is known to contain literally no fat at all. It however contains large amounts of vitamin C, antioxidants in the form of beta-carotene, a little bit of sodium, and some fiber to go along with all these nutrients. However, nutritionists advise against this kind of fad diet, because a diet based on only fruit is considered nutritionally unsound. Grapefruit diet may help people reduce total calorie intake, but on the flip side it may not be able to supply you with an ideal number of nutrients. Needless to say, a balanced diet consisting of all the essential nutrients is needed for sustaining good health. Research has also shown that eating large amounts of grapefruit often causes diarrhea. Critics point out that the grapefruit diet is like any other mythic fad diets, which come and go every now and then. Since it is important that you eat a balanced diet, it is better that you don’t eat much of anything, including grapefruits. You can, for instance, take a healthy helping of grapefruit, but along with other essential nutrients which are not found in the fruit. Balance is the key here. Just in case you want to try out the grapefruit diet, to be on the safer side, consult with your personal physician or dietician and ask him for suggestions about what is the safe amount of grapefruit that you can consume and what are the other things that you need to consume along with it for leading a healthy life. When A Lover Cheats: Relationship Repair For Gay Couples; Part 1

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

By Brian Rzepczynski Introduction Nothing destroys the foundation of trust and security in a relationship quite like infidelity does. The gay community at large tends to accept more liberal forms of sexual expression. Without social norms precluding whats sexually appropriate or not in the context of an intimate relationship, gay men are in a position to choose for themselves the role sex plays in their relationships. As such, most gay couples develop a relationship contract of sorts as they begin to merge their lives together about monogamy vs. non-monogamy. For those couples who have agreed to be monogamous, a partners affair with another man can create a whirlwind of chaos and painand sometimes, the destruction of the relationship itself. While many relationships dont survive an affair because of the difficulties involved in working through the betrayal and broken trust, many others are able to overcome the challenges and are able to cultivate an even better partnership than theyd had before. A couple can triumph over an affair! Part 1 of this article will examine the reasons behind an affair, and Part 2 will offer some practical tips on healing and moving forward for those couples who have decided to try and salvage their relationships. He Cheated On Me! When a lover cheats and the affair is revealed or discovered, the two men in the couple relationship both go through a grieving process. The psychology of the issues involved for each man in the couple is different, but there is a common backdrop of pain and shattered trust. Disillusionment sets in, and a flood of various emotions erupts. Anger, betrayal, guilt, disgust, defensiveness, depression, and numbness and shock are common emotional reactions, to just name a few. You become preoccupied with the affair, unable to think of anything else and it can be hard to concentrate and control the racing thoughts and images your mind conjures up. Everything you thought you knew and believed in now comes into question and you can feel lost, confused, and abandoned. You wonder whats been real and whats been a farce from the inception of your relationship. Your self-esteem is wounded, you feel deceived, and your world feels like its been turned upside down. The sense of loss is profound and can be traumatizing. You then contemplate whether the relationship is worth fighting for. Why We Are Unfaithful Statistics among all sexual orientations indicate that infidelity is pervasive. There are many different reasons why we gay men may cheat on our partners. While certainly the problem may stem from one man in the couple (eg. sexual addiction), in my clinical experience, I have seen more cases of infidelity arising as a symptom of something thats troubling the relationship. The following are some possible underlying factors that contribute to the straying outside our primary relationships: fear of commitment and/or intimacy; cheating as a way of staving off getting too close, being controlled, or being suffocated by ones partner lack of gay monogamous role models low self-esteem; seeking sex from other people as a validation of ones attractiveness and self-worth boredom; a compelling need to seek thrills, risk, adventure, or variety easy sexual access and availability society, and gay culture itself, sexualizing gay men (just look at the ads in your local gay newspaper or magazine, for example!) unhappiness in ones relationship; feeling unloved or unwanted; emotional distance in the partnership; unmet needs; acting-out because somethings missing; searching for emotional connection, attention, affection, and validation that one feels hes not getting from his partner sexual problems in the relationship or lack of sexual intimacy sexual addiction, poor impulse control, involvement of drugs and alcohol, or unresolved emotional problems, sexual abuse from the past, or a prior history of infidelity purposeful attempt to hurt ones partner (power-plays, Ill show him! Ill get back at him by sleeping with) incompatibility with ones partner; differing life philosophies and needs Men in particular (both straight and gay) tend to be more at risk and susceptible for cheating on a lover because of the tendency toward being able to separate sex from emotions during sex. These reasons are certainly not intended to be rationalizations or justifications for having an affair, but knowing your own underlying causes can help in beginning to problem-solve ways of treating the symptoms so that your relationship has a chance of successfully moving forward. No two affairs are alike, so its important to understand your unique relationship situation so you can remove the barriers that trigger you and prevent you from claiming the type of relationship you really want. Conclusion In Part 2 of this article (coming in the next Couples Edition of the newsletter), specific tips and strategies will be given for the man who cheated, the man who was cheated upon, and for the couple as a whole for rebuilding their relationship in the aftermath of an affair. In the interim, if you and your partner are in this situation of dealing with an infidelity, contemplate the following questions and points: What does this affair mean to our relationship? What led up to it? Why did it happen? In what ways did each of us contribute to this happening? What role did we each play and what are our responsibilities? Whats missing in our relationship? What needs work? What did we learn about ourselves as a result of this experience? Can I forgive my partner and myself for whats happened? How does this all mesh with my personal requirements for a partner and relationship? What do we need to do differently to ensure that this never happens again? Remember that you are both suffering and that you both need extra support, reassurance, and understanding from each other right now. If you are truly committed to repairing your relationship, keep blame, finger-pointing, verbal aggression, and judgment out of the mix. Theres been enough pain already. Develop a vision for a positive outcome as a couple and keep centered on that as you go through the difficult grieving tasks involved in getting back on track again. And you can! 2006 Brian L.
